Range Rules
Considerable time is spent up keeping all the target boards at
the 100, 50, 35 and 25 yard ranges. It is up to all of us to maintain the
range, shoot at the targets as intended and show some pride in keeping up
our facility.
Every member is responsible for policing our
property and upholding safety rules. All of us are responsible for
asking others for their ID cards if they are not visible or addressing any
safety violations. If you feel uncomfortable addressing the issue,
call Jack, call a board member, get the license plate number and
descriptions. Provide the information to the board so violations can
be addressed. "Thank You" for your
support, PFGC Board of Directors.
Updated DRAFT
Set of Range Rules (PDF file) - This updated draft of the range rules
was reviewed by the Board and going to be presented to the members at the
April 6th Membership meeting. Please review and submit your ideas to
the
PFGCBoard@pfgc.org.
Initial
DRAFT Set
of Range Rules (PDF file) - Here is a DRAFT set of range rules.
Please review and submit your ideas to the
PFGCBoard@pfgc.org. At the
February board meeting we will be gathering input and making updates.
New Member Reminder -
Upon completion of the orientation, all new
members must sign a copy of the range rules acknowledging that they
understand them and will obey them.
Mandatory - Wear Your ID Cards
NO badge, NO use - PFGC is increasing compliance for wearing your ID card while on the Bedford
property. People not wearing their badges will be
asked to come to the next board meeting and explain why they were not wearing
their badge. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact
the board @ PFGCBoard@pfgc.org
If you see a person not wearing a badge, please ask them to see their badge.
If they can not show you their badge, please ask them to leave. If you do
not feel comfortable asking them to leave, please contact any of the board
members with the persons name and vehicle information.
For the past year, there has been many communications at the membership
meetings, on this web site and board meetings stating members must wear your ID
card so it can be seen while on the property.
The membership badges are expensive and we are
fortunate to have quality plastic badges that we have. The setup and
production of the badges is not an easy task. Getting replacements will
not be simple. Please take care of them.
New members who have not completed field orientation are not allowed
to use the field without a full member present
Note - Local law authorities do have permission to come onto the property and
investigate activity. They will be asking for your PFGC ID card.
No Moving of Targets
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO MOVE THE TARGETS.
If you see someone moving the targets forward from their stands or shooting at
targets not in the target stand location, please ask the shooters to stop.
If you are uncomfortable asking the person to stop, call a board member, get a
license plate number and get that information to the
PFGCBoard@pfgc.org Violators will
be contacted by the board and their privileges revoked. Violators will not
be allowed to use the range until they come to the next board meeting and
explain why they did what they did.
The club went through a huge effort to set up the safety barriers and provide
for safe shooting. By moving the targets forward or shooting at targets
not located in the target area, you are creating an unsafe condition. All
it takes is one incident and WE WILL ALL LOOSE our opportunity to use the range.
Shooting Time
At the October 2010 Board meeting, the Board discussed the range shooting hours as
8:30am to Sunset. These hours will be announced at the membership
meetings, posted on the range rule signs which are in the process of being
written/created and posted on the web site. Anyone found violating the
shooting times will be asked to come in front of the board and explain.
Note - Local law authorities do have permission to come onto the property and
investigate activity. They will be asking for your PFGC ID card.
Reporting
of Violations
Per our President and Board of Directors, any member is
authorized to stop volitions in progress. If you see someone breaking
the range rules, please ask them to stop. Get their name. If
they are not wearing their card in plain site, ask them for their card and
to wear their card in plain site. Contact a board member, get the
license plate number. These are your responsibilities as members of
the club.
Mud
Locks
For those who may not know what this
means, each spring we put additional padlocks on the gates to prevent access
until road conditions improve. When the board determines it is safe,
the additional padlocks will be removed. If you have any questions,
please contact the board.
