Field Day Cleanup - August 22nd

The 2009 event was understaffed and our volunteers went through tremendous efforts to support the event.  For support of the 2010 event, we are asking that volunteers and stations sign-ups start in January.  If we do not have a full staff in advance, we may have to modify this function.  We have many members who have not completed their volunteer hour commitment.  Please contact Jay Knoettner, Field Day Committee Chair, and sign up in advance for supporting this event.

"Field Day" is PFGC's annual family oriented all day event where families can come down and enjoy the field.  There are many activities for everyone of all ages.  Kid's competitive categories are "under 12", "12 to 16" and "over 16."  Stations include Fish Casting, Paintball, BB Gun, Archery, Running Deer, Muzzle Loader, .22 Rifle, .22 Pistol and Trap.  If we have a tie, shoot offs will start at 1:15pm.

We have two memorial awards:

Bill Saitz Memorial Award - Best all around adult shooter

Hank Northridge Memorial Award - Best all around shooter "under 16"

GSB Archery Shoots

Granite State Bowhunters (GSB) - Is an organization, separate but closely affiliated with PFGC whom is dedicated to promoting bow hunting and safe and lawful use of the bow and arrow.  PFGC holds one of their sanctioned shoots @ PFGC.  Our GSB Archery Chairperson is the key coordinator between the two organizations and organizing our shooting event.  This is a key component and fundraiser for the PFGC organization.  GSB has its own monthly membership meetings as well as a director's meeting to coordinate between GSB and PFGC.

Barry Camp 2010

As some of you may have heard, the Barry Camp facility has been closed, including the Bear Camp for the summer of 2010.  We are going to continue our funding efforts to carry onto 2011.  Through 2010, we will be working with University of NH and 4H to have the camps open for 2011.
